The Petal Skirt is a simple, cute and fun mini skirt. With wavy scalloped edges, it's an elevated classic to have in your me-made wardrobe! It is intended to fit with 1/2" of ease around the waist and 3-4" of ease around the hips, making it fitted around the waist but comfortable to move around in. It's a simple and straight forward project to get done in an afternoon (I have over 10 samples myself!!)

The size ranges from 0 to a 40 which covers a WAIST measurement of 23” - 53” (58cm - 135cm) and a HIP measurement of 33" - 63" (84cm - 160cm)

This is a confident beginner sewing pattern with in-depth illustrated written instructions as well an accompanying YouTube tutorial.

It is a serger free pattern. Through this pattern, you will learn how to sew darts, insert a lapped zipper (SO fun I promise) and finish your scalloped hem with a bias binding (with an additional hemming method if you YouTube tutorial if you hate bias binding!) If this is one of your first patterns, I still recommend you give it a try as it covers lots of useful sewing techniques!

The Petal Skirt sewing pattern comes in a Print at home file (A4 & Letter size), a projector file and an A0 file (large format/copy shop).

Fabrics: When choosing fabrics for your Petal Skirt, you want to ensure that it has enough structure to hold its shape. Fabrics I recommend are: corduroy, cotton twill/drill, denim, jacquard, canvas, wool blends, cotton blends and more!
